About NEiChild

What is NEiChild?
NEiChild (New England iChild) is an independent association of families and friends involved with adoption from the India subcontinent. NEiChild provides activities, resources and support to enhance or encourage adoption from India.

We work together to provide a place online or through activities where families formed by adoption, especially from the Indian subcontinent, can get together and have fun, share information, and learn about Indian culture.

What Do You Do?
Recent activities include a Diwali party, airport arrivals, dinner at a local Indian restaurant and our Annual Spring Picnic in Maine. We have also begun running a weekend culure camp, Camp Masala. We also have supported Indian disaster relief for the recent Tsunami and older earthquakes in India and South Asia.

NEiChild members also support education activities promoting adoption. NEiChild has presented at the Annual ODS-ACONE Adoption Conference, the SPACE (Single Parents Adopting Children Everywhere) Conference, and before prospective parents at a variety of conferences and meetings. NEiChild has also been interviewed by reporters from local and international radio and print media.
